New patients
Your first visit
Plan on about an hour. You don't need to know the words for anything. Bring your questions.
After you ask for a visit, Wes Hayward calls or texts you with a time and sends the forms to your email. You fill them in at home, in your own time, on our private patient portal, so the contact form on this site stays free of health details.
What to bring
A photo ID
A list of your medicines
Any X-rays you have, or the name of your last dentist
Your plan's card, if you have one
A list of allergies and sensitivities

What happens, in order
- 01
Step 1: We talk
What you've noticed, what you'd like to know and what worries you.
- 02
Step 2: The cleaning, if planned
Yasmeen Alavi cleans your teeth and shows you how your gums are doing.
- 03
Step 3: The exam
Dr. DeJesus looks at your teeth, gums and bite. X-rays only if she needs them.
- 04
Step 4: Your options, in writing
If something needs work, you get the options, the material she would use and a written estimate.
Before you come
Do I need to bring my old X-rays?
If you have them, yes. If you don't, tell us who your last dentist was, and with your permission we'll ask for them.
What if I'm nervous?
Say so when you book. We'll plan for a slower visit, explain each step before it happens and stop when you raise a hand.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling that spreads to your face, eye or neck, or bleeding that won't stop: go to an emergency room or call 911. For a broken or knocked-out tooth, call us right away and we'll fit you in as soon as we can.
Can I change or cancel a visit?
Yes. Call or text us as early as you can, and we'll find another time.
